Hi,
This Friday night I had to get my 1978 300d jump-started. The battery had died, and I have since replaced it. The mysterious and annoying thing is that while trying unsuccessfully to jump-start it, the glow system seems to have been damaged. The glow light does not come on any more. I can turn the engine over all I want but it will not start. I replace all of the glow plugs about 1 month ago. I tested the glow plugs with my meter, and they seem to be OK. I immediately tried replacing the fuse for the glow system, but it keeps popping. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks |

If the glow plug fuse blows, you have a dead short in one of the glow plugs...Have it checked.
