W124 Armrest skin replacement? How?
Hello,
Perhaps a stupid question, but: How do I open the seam on a W124 Driver's Seat Armrest (at the rear of the armrest) to open the skin? I was expecting to find a zipper in there but it seems to but some kind of flip clip. Many Thanks

Not sure what your after exactly.....
I'm assuming the arm rest is off the car and you are attempting to remove the vinyl cover? Correct? Ok, at the back on older cars, there was a zipper. Now it's a plastic chanel and a mating welt piece of plastic. So, a U piece with a lipped chanel that fits inside. Use a small screwdriver to open up the U piece slightly and work out the inner piece. Compressing the rest takes tension off the ends making it easier to work with... Kinda hard to describe...
