Where is it located and what is the diconnection procedure?

Year model (I'll assume 02 or later being a SL55) and ECU stands for Eletronic Control Unit. Cool, if its a 230 car I believe there are 20+ of 'em on board. Which one are you hunting?

On any control unit you simply unplug it, on a 230 car you need to make sure you unhook the keep alive battery in the back, not the starting battery in the front.

Yeah, what Joe said. The whole car is basically a control module on wheels! Quick smart-assed answer is that if you have to ASK where a particular control module is located you probably got no business disconnecting it.

Going to have it reprogrammed for a little more power and have the speed limiter removed. The limiter shuts it down at 150mph. BTW, not driven at that speed on a public road.

N3/10. Per WIS, l/f hand fuse box, most outboard unit. Right to the outside of the brake master cly.
