87 300E Door Panel

Hi, all:

How do I get the door panel off from my 1987 300E?

The interior vinyl edge at the window is starting to peel off and I want to stop it. Unfortunately, I could not get the glue into the spot/seam and with positive clamping afterwards. I'm thinking if I would remove the door panel off first which would give me more room to work with.

Thank you.

DL

Remove the black trim by the door striker by removing the philips
screw.
Pop the buttons off of the seat switch with a screwdriver.
Remove the small plastic ring around the seat back switch.
Pull the seat switch cover off.
Pull the door handle cover off the same way.
Remove the seat switch screws (2 x philips).
Remove the 10mm bolt by the door handle.
Remove the light at the bottom of the door panal by prying on one
side.
Slide the door handle towards the front of the vehicle until it comes
out of the slots. behind the door handle, pop the cable off of the
handle upwards and remove the handle.
Slide the entire door panal upwards until free (sometimes sticks on
the window seal)
Door panal needs to move upwards about 3cm until free

Talking 87 300E Door Panel

Thank you, Bud, for the extreme quick response. You instructions are very detailed and I should be able to follow, even though I'm so low-tech. Have a nice day and please enjoy the sunshine where you are.
