On my car, I change the rotors every other set of pads, and without turning them they barely last 2 sets of pads before being worn beyond minimum thickness. But then again, a good OEM quality rotor runs $40-$45 each for the front, so it is not a very large cost for new rotors.

where are you buying rotors for $40-$45 the lowest i have seen is in the $60 range..
