Unhappy OVP (resolder old connectons?)

Hello All You MB Experts out There!!
Have been reading numerous threads regarding the resoldering of the board on the OVP. Might be a great thing if I could get the durn thing open. The metal covering on my W124 car is sealed tighter than the proverbial ducks behind. I don't see any way to open this dude up other than by destroying the thing. Please help!! Any thoughts on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

Well you won't destroy it by taking off the metal cover. Use a small screwdriver or blade to lever up the crimped edges and slide the cover off. Didn't find any evidence of bad joints on mine, but did find corrosion inside the unit when I opened up my Fuel Pump Relay. I let my mechanic indulge himself by resoldering the contacts but went to my parts shop and bought new units anyway. Seemed to help a little but ended up as just another milestone on the great KE Jetronic exploration adventure.
