Sunroof Issue

Hey guys

I'm having some problems with the sunroof on my '93 124. It seems to be "off track" so to speak, but I know that this is impossible on this car.

The switch is dead. After pulling the reading lamp/switch box out and testing it with an amp tester, I was able to Jump Start the roof open in the back, tilting it up and down with ease via a wire from each socket to socket

When I attempt to open the roof completeley, the motor runs but the roof studders tehn lowers on the passenger side and stays high on the driver's side.

This happens when i attempt to open manually from the trunk as well.

My guess is something broke on teh drivers side and It needs to be replaced but i cannot get the roof open to remove hte headliner.

Anyone have any ideas?
A search of the archives helped but I wasn't able to find any of this specific info.
Thanks.
