Could anyone please hazard a guess why the display screen ( Sat. Nav. Audio. CD etc) on my S500, 2 years old with only 14000 miles on the clock, makes a high frequency continuous squeel. I thought there was a problem with my ears until one day I switched the screen off, with which the noise disappeared. I am not quite sure whether it is dependant on what info. is being displayed. Naturally it is not audible if the music is on. My Merc. service shop says " there are so many electronic things behind the dashboard, anything could be interfering with it"
While I do not dispute the validity of this statement, surely this cannot be an acceptable situation. Has any one else experienced this? is there a simple solution to this?
would appreciate some helpful comments.
