Trailer Hitch for W108 Rare?

Hello everybody!

Just a day or two ago, I read a post that gave the impression that a trailer hitch for a 108 is rare. I happen to have one sitting in my garage (uninstalled), and wondered if indeed it is a rare find, and if I ought to install it, or sell it, or use it as a paperweight (maybe help keep the shopmanual on the correct page?)

Is it a European model or an old J.C. Whitney bolt-on unit? Good euro hitches in this country are rare. If you want to know what it is worth put it on evilBay.

Unfortunately neither - I went out into the garage and dug around for it, when I came upon it, and read "Draw-tite" on it. It was given to me by the German mechanic that sold me his 280SE (he told me it fit the car).

If it's indeed the NOS Benz one, then yes, it's rare, as in "I've never seen one before" rare. That's how rare they are to my knowledge.

Edit: You posted that while I was resizing my image. Damn my slowness!
