Compression test
Hi, on a 280 4.5, compression test numbers came in between 130-140 across all cylinders. Are these too low for an engine under 100,000 miles
Thanks |

The FSM says normal compression is 8.5 bar and low is 7.5 bar - chapter 01-010
There were I think different compression engines for different markets though - but I think you've got a healthy engine there and the difference is within limits you are "allowed" a maximum of 1.5 bar difference between the cylinders.

That sounds like pretty good compression.
FYI 1 bar = 14.5 psi
