Fender and hood adjustment W126

I’m trying to adjust the alignment on the hood of my 300sd (w126) and cant seem to figure how move it to the right side of the vehicle. Do you have to take the fenders off? If so are there any hidden gotcha’s?
Also as can be seen in the attached photo’s the right fender is in serious need of alignment.
