Installing Becker 10 AM/FM Radio Cassette*in 1990 w124

Hi, can anyone assit with what wires I use to replace my Becker Grand Prix unit with a new Becker Audio 10 AM/FM Radio Cassette*(3200) which comes with the wiring loom? My car is a 1990 W124 230E.

I have taken the Original becker unit out but I can not work out which wire goes where as the back of the units are different & I don not understand what to do.

Hello, I was searching up on google to see if I can solve a problem with installing a Becker 10 radio and saw this particular thread relating to it. So I was just hoping that instead of making a new thread that I could just ask for help in this one.

We are trying to instal a Becker 10 Am/Fm Casette Radio into a 1983 Merc 123, I think it is.

We have wired everything up right and it asks for a code, we input the code but then arent sure how to register it into the system as after we finish lining up the numbers it just returns to the first number allowing us to change it but not registering it.

Is there a specific button we should press? We have fiddled around a little bit but cannot find out a sequence or button to press when trying to set the code.

Thanks in advance strt6

As long as the stereo is not stolen, you should be able to call the dealer and have them give you the coee. All you have to do is give them your serial number, and they should give you the radio code.

We have the code. It is just that when we input the code in it just highlights the first number. Say the code was '1-2-3-4-5' after we input that code it returns the '1'. Like it is waiting for us to hit a hidden "enter" button.

Is it because the code we are inputting is incorrect?

Edit: My father bought it, I am not sure where he got it from. I will see whats up tomorrow when people are awake.

i think you have to hold down one of the function buttons after entering the code (like "AM" or "FM")

Check your manual for proper code entry instructions.
