Hi all,
I tried searching for this answer but did not find what I was looking for. The left side display illumination lite on my stock Becker stereo went out. I have a 1991 420SEL. Two questions: 1) How do you unleash the radio in a W126? 2) Can the bulb be replaced as a DIY repair or is this better left to the experts. Thanks in advance for the advise!

Becker Replacement
You may be able to find the answer to your questions at the Becker message board, if you haven't already tried. The address is beckerautosound.com. I found an authorized Becker dealer in my neighborhood who repaired my original unit --took it out himself and remounted it. You can also call Becker directly.
