190E Radio, lights, clock lose power
Thanks for the past information and help. Another issue.
1991 - 190E Lately the radio loses power, at this point the interior lights will not work and the clock stops working as well. When this occurs no fuses are blown. I am assuming there is a short or improper ground. When working the radio works well. Before I start I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or ideas as to what may be causing the problem. I'd replace all the fuses if it hasn't already been done. The fuses can develop hairline cracks and work intermittently. On the diesel list at mbz.org this is known as the Marshall plan in honor of the lister who most consistently advocates changing the fuses every 10 years.

intermittent power loss
Thank-you for the suggestion. I changed all of the fuses 10 days ago and my daughter said that she has not had any of the power failure issues with the radio, clock or otherwise since then.
The majority of the fuses appeared to be either original or have been in the car for years. Once again thank-you for the suggestion. Myron Becker |
