Becker Alpine swap
I have a 99 E430 with a Becker 3302 and a 6 disk changer. It has been acting up. I can get a Alpine cm 2299 and changer with codes. Does anyone know if this a direct swap or if any other programing or coding with the car needs to be done ?

the 3302 is tied to the changer via fiber optic cables. there is a good chance that you also have a factory Bose amp as well. this would also get its feed from the radio via the fiber optic cable. the 2299 and matching changer do not use fiber optic connections. the current cableing in your car would not work with the 2299 and changer. Only a 3302 can be used.
both can be rebuilt. give Becker autosound a call 201-773-0976 they can help |

Compatability Question
Just to let you know the CM2299 IS a direct replacement for the BE3302. We service both units and verified their function being the same. You are ok then with your choice. Thank you for using Mercedes Shop Forum.
