RF CD changer in a w123 - help needed
Hi,
I would like to put an RF cd changer into my 1983 300D. The constraint is that Id liek to keep my old becker radio, for the OEM look... I would liek any help I could get on how I can undertake this. I will be changing my antenna soon, and could do it all at once. I have a few preliminary questions, but any other additional infdo would be great too. -How would I power the changer if I had it in the trunk? -If I didnt have it in the trunk, where is the best place to put it? -Regardless how do I power it? -All hat I know about RF changers is that they exist and could be used to keep my same head unit and add the changer on an FM station. I assume there is some sort of connection box that connects into the antenna wire. Will ti connect directly? Will I need an andapter to connect the antenna? Will having the RF changer in line with the antenna cause the power functions from the radio and the dash switch for antenna height to get messed up? Any info is most appreciated. I am kind of wary of trying it myself or taking it someplace before I learn some things about the procedure... Thanks very much JMH |

Additionally
One more thing... Sorry... Where/how would I mount it? I dont really know... I dont think the seatback would be the best, but Im wary of drilling through metal... Makes it kind of hard to decide...
Thanks JMH |
