Subwoofer problem 1992 190E 2.6

I have just installed a new Kenwood AM/FM CD unit. In addition, the dash and rear deck speakers were replaced {4" Infinity (front) and 6.5'' Infinity speakers in the rear deck}. The problem I have encountered is that the subbase units in the front doors are still working......a peculiar setup, if fact......when the Kenwood tuner/amp is adjusted such that the right/left balance is set a zero, there is almost no bass response (or volume) from the front door bass drivers. Once the balance is adjusted either to the right or left of center, it acts like a volume control for the bass units, adding more and more volume of bass as you increase the amount of balance toward the right or left side!!!!!!! HOW can I rewire this system so that the bass drivers work correctly/appropriately??????

Thanks.

Gary
