The stereo in my SL320 adjusts the volume relative to the speed of the car; my Z3 also did this and it drove me crazy, but on the Bimmer you could hit a certain series of buttons and adjust the sensitivity or defeat the feature. Anyone know if this is possible on the SL Class?

If its not, its not too hard to pull the radio out, find the offending speed sensor wire, and remove. ;-)
Let us know which radio it is. Bri ------------------ Brian Drought 1991 300CE 2000 A170-CDI http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~drought/ ICQ: 2180069 |

It's the stock cassette head unit, not sure who the manufacturer is. I can't really see how it would remove, as the buttons are sort of recessed into the wood trim. What's the secret there? Does the whole console pull out?
