Here are the steps to follow using Meguiar's products:
---------------------- A) WASH Gold Class Wash B) SURFACE PREP Paint cleaning Clay C) POLISH #9 Swirl Remover (use only if needed) followed by #7 Show Car Glaze D) PROTECT #26 Hi-Tech Wax E) MAINTAIN #34 Final Inspection or Quick Detailer ----------------------- Obviously, you don't have to do all of this everytime you wash and/or wax. - Don't use the #9 swirl remover unless you have swirl marks. It does remove some paint. - Use clay only when the paint doesn't feel smooth as glass. You can spot treat with clay, too. It doesn't hurt to use more often but, there's no point unless you need to. This is the ONLY case where I don't care for a Meguiar's product. Use Clay Magic instead. The Meguiar's clay is too soft. - #7 Show car glaze is safe to use as much as you want but, you really only have to use it every 2nd or 3rd time you wax. This is the stuff that really makes your car sparkle. - #34 Final Inspection or Quick Detailer. Use after each wash. I like Quick Detailer better only because the spray nozzle gives off a better mist. - Wash often...weekly is good. ALWAYS wash in the shade and dry after washing. Another note. Clay, swirl remover and show car glaze all remove wax so you have to rewax after using these products. ------------------ Bill Wood - Webmaster MercedesShop.com, LLC |
