What do you recommend for removing the occasional bird dropping from my car, short of washing it? I'm sure you are familiar with the occasional dropping the day after you wash your car. Thanks for any help.

Use either Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection or Meguiar's Quick Detailer. Also, be sure to use a soft cotton terry towel NOT a paper towel.

You will want to mist the crap out of the area, then let sit until it has softened the bird droppings a bit. Then just wipe with minimal amounts of pressure, repeating the process until the finish is "back to good". Towels and #34 are cheap compared to damaging the paint. In the trunk of my car I keep a gallon size ziploc bag with several terry's and some #34 for just such occasions. In any case, bird droppings can really damage your paint in a hurry. It is always best to get them off the finish ASAP. Of course, keeping a good coat of wax on the surface will really make the job easier.
Hope this helps...Lee |

Thanks for the replys. My 420SEL is gold, and it seems to be hit much more than my other cars. Does colour have anything to do with it? Now excuse me, I misplaced my shotgun...
