Debadging 87 300E
I've been thinking of doing this for a while, I really like the clean/custom look it gives to the car. I've been reading around the forums on the techniques used. If I read all correctly, you just use dental floss, slowly rub back and forth and it should break through the adhesive? Should I worry about the adhesive possibly pealing off paint? When I finally remove the badge, would a claybar work well for clearing up all the adhesive? I also have WD-40 and Zymol Cleaner Wax...I read these will help too. So what do you think? Did I miss anything? Thanks.

before "flossing" you should get a hairdryer or something and try to heat up the badge area so it adhesive will start to melt down. after there will be something marks left. the steps you should follow is to clay then use a normal paint cleaner. if marks are still left, then report back with pictures and ill tell you which product to use.

Ok back and debadged, but not done. There's still some shadowing. I used a claybar for about a half hour, then Zymol Cleaner Wax. Here are some pics...it's hard to see, you'll have to look closely.

oh hmm.. i do see it better on the first picture. do you have a buffer? try to use your zymol on that... looks like you need a more abrasive cleaner. i like meguiars... so you can use any of these 2.
Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner ScratchX scratchx is stronger but it may leave swirls which you will then need other products to remove it. but from the pictures, it looks like you already have some cobwebbing ( swirls ) but they aren't that noticeable on your color. so.. i recommend scratchx. usually found at a local autoparts store
