Yes, that is an easy scratch to remove. Glass Technolggy CLICK sells the pads you need.

I bought a windshield polishing kit from JC WHitney that includes a felt wheel and cerium oxide polishing compound. The felt wheel mounts on a drill chuck. It'll polish out haze and light scratches. If you can catch a scratch with your fingernail, then it's too deep for polishing.

Don't want you to think that I believe it is not a good product, it's just a lot of stuff there to fix a scratch! I'm sure its probably a very good system!

if you already have a rotary buffer, ( not an orbital one which is found at autozone/pep boys ) you can use #4 Heavy Cut Cleaner from Meguiars. works great!

If you cant feel the scratch with your fingernail, then yes it can be polished away.
I use a PC and a 4" spot pad to work the glass polish. But for wiper marks it can be done by hand. Use a microfiber applicator and some Sonus glass polish. Use it sparingly(a quarter size dab for each side). Work it until it disappears, then let it haze over, then wipe the residue off. Last edited by jonw440; 10-27-2005 at 02:08 PM. |
