Careful with trash bags! I've heard of the color leaching out of them while using leatherique. I took my seats out and used thick industrial grade plastic sheets and a space heater. Worked great! I'd imagine you could use painters throw down plastic sheeting.

I hope sweat won't have an adverse effect on this process. I was outside tonight doing the first step of the process. There was nearly as much sweat on the seats when I finished as there was Leatherique treatment.

After I got the Preconditioner on all of the seats, I threw them back into the car to bake for a couple of days, as was recommended.

I think it depends on the alcohol level of the sweat. A little bit of rum in your sweat never hurts a reconditioning effort.

No, not fruity. Try a rum and tonic, with lime. Use a nice dark rum, like Myers or Mount Gay, none of that spiced crap. Our nanny brought us some Honduran rum, aged 12 years, that was just awesome with tonic and lime.

Lately, I've had a few gin and tonics with mint instead of lime. We have mint in the garden, so it's easy to snap off and throw in a sprig. Pretty nice and refreshing.
