Umbrella storage

Just wanted to share, this is where I place my large golf umbrella in my W123, using two (2) rubberized U hooks attached to the metal fuel tank partition/divider in the trunk:

It's out of sight, and does not roll around when I'm driving the car.

Good place for a gun rack too!

Did you just tuck the clips in behind the partition panel or did you rivet them in place or something like that?

That's where I keep my AK 47, the only problem is that you can't store it with the 75 round drum attached, it moves around a lot, and it's too long with the 40 round clip, so you have to use the 30 rounder

Sorry governor I was thinking more along the lines of a nice sawn off.

The hooks just clip to the top edge of the metal partition. No riveting required. They're actually conduit fasteners, and using my long nose pliers I just reshaped one end to a tight "U" and place it upside down on the top edge of the metal partition. The other end can be bent a little for easier access.

Brilliant. I need to find my golf umbrella. I left it at work a few months ago. Sure hope it's still where I left it.

Brilliant solution! I have a MB golf umbrella and wanted a way to keep in clean in the trunk.

Any source for the hooks online? Cheers!

Thank you.

Not sure if they are worth the cost to ship, if you only need just a few.

They should be readily available at your local hardware store. Not sure where you are located (profile mentions no location), but if you are in the US, I sourced these from my local Home Depot.

My company sells those clips, and I have them in several sizes, but I'm not sure if its worth it to ship just 2 of them. I'll see what they would cost to just do 2 of them.

The door-mounted option works better. Not sure if the black object has an official MB part number.
