Loud Clock!!!

I searched.
Not one thread addressing the clock noise. Why did Mercedes put such a noisy beast in there? Ever try to relax in a quiet place, wondering why that sucker is so darn noisy?
I do wonder if the tach/clock combos are quieter...
Anyone get around this?

You ever see the old Rolls Royce ad? The one that states at 60 mph the only sound inside a Rolls is the quiet ticking of the clock?...Not to be out done MB spent quite a bit of R&D funds to counter this claim. However in dealing with diesels they decided it might be best to lower the road rather than raise the bridge. Your listening to the result...

The combos must be quieter, I've never noticed mine. I can hear it if I really listen for it but not at any other time. I've never seen anything about this complaint either.... just be glad it works.

Wonder how hard it is to put a tach in...
Hey Leathermang, I will grab you one next time I'm at pick n pull.
Is that a single clock, W123?
