Anybody want to drill this guy?

I have his phone number if anybody wants to drill this guy on the "mods" and superior condition of his car. I thought about taking Jason's list and question him on every point. But I really don't know enough to laugh at him about the mods since all I know is what I've read here. I've yet to own one...

But seriously, what could be so special that he could base a WHOLE ad on it and use that as a reason to limit bidders to "pre-approved?"

If you want it, let me know. It could be fun

I particularly liked "fastest production 4-door sedan allowed for sale in the US . . . "

I PM'd bbeardb for the phone number (slow morning) and will give the seller a call. I do have a few questions of my own regarding the "mint" condition and an explanation of the seat cover swap. Anyone with questions let me know.

What are the dyno numbers and/or quartermile times?

If I lived in Chicago, I'd go there just to call his bluff.

he's also got a not too bad looking 85 123 for 3300. 122K he says. If it's as decent as it looks, not a bad price.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, we have a WINNER. TX76513 is the lucky winner of the phone number to the fastest, most incredible, mint condition SDL on the market!

Let the Festivities begin!!!

This guy is full of it. Their is always soemthing funny to see on ebay.

It looks like an original not taken car off car. The green coolant and black brake fluid stick out the most. But it does have the orignal oil filler cap that is leaking. I would suspect a lot of hidden rust and a buyer that is better suited to selling Civics with fart cans.

It's my opinion the antenna does not retract - the car is "off" - the cracks in the shifter console wood is not a mint characteristic either.

Can't wait to find out about the high performance mods

I'll bet its missing the spare tire and jack.....for "high performance" weight reduction.

Hmmm, probably has been monitoring this forum and knows your trying to call. Nah, on second thought I doubt he even knows that there is a MercedesShop.com forum. He probably doesn't answer due to the fact that he doesn't want to answer questions about his "Car of the Century".
