Well to be honest I'm not sure what he's asking. My Father just called me and told me that he talked to someone over there and he said that they were asking $14,995. Which if that's the case then i'm in the wrong business and I got burned. lol. My guess someone didn't know what car they were viewing. Realistically, I'd guess it's worth about $6K, but then i'm not real sure on that. I think if a guy wanted to get it around $5500.00 that'd be a good buy. I added up my invoices from last year and it was about $5400.00 , but that tax and labor includes labor.
New items were:
New Oil Pan
New Altenator
New Vacuum Pump
New Belt Tensioner and Pulley
New Suspension in front, upper control arms and lower ball joints.
New Shocks
New sway bars
New Mono Valve
New Brakes and rotors
New Back Tires(2)
and a few other minor things such as clips for fuel lines, hoses, belts and flushing the brake fluid.

Here is a list of things I wanted to get done to her.
It needs:
Climate Control, it's acting funky and the heater comes on when it wants to come on, not when you want it to. Heat blew good hot air. The A/C works fine.
Needs a Hood Pad
New door handle and lock
Sun roof needs to get back on it's track, i've disconneted it. My indy said that the motor was fine, just needed the cable and tracks adjusted.
Dash has cracks, if that bothers you get a dash pad, didn't bother me much.
Tranny slips a little in between 2nd and third on cold starts, probably needs adjusting. It was leaking transmission fluid back in 2003. My father rebuilt the transmission back in Jan of 2003, it's not leaking now.
Back of the driver side seat the panel falls off but that can be fixed.
And as usual some other minor details, such as a mirror in the passenger side sun visor.
Antilock brake light just started coming on recently.
Oil light comes on, but it's not the oil sending unit, and the pump is fine, it's in the wiring cluster under the dash.

I say we let it drop. It's seems like too much effort for an uncertain outcome.

I'll keep waiting. Something will come along.

OK. It's your call.

However, it would be nice for that vehicle to go to a forum member, especially if we can "arrange" the right price.

B, I'd like to see you get it. I wish I'd had posted it here first before I ran off and traded it in. I think if you wait a week or so, call them back and they'll come down on that price and you'll be able to grab it. I'll do my best to keep a watch on it.

Did you talk to David Moreno?

I had to go by the Dealer yesterday and get my Tacoma serviced and detailed. I noticed that my, used to be, 300 SDL was still there. I asked David there, the guy that sold me my truck, what they were asking for it. He said, "$8K". I told him that I didn't think he'd get that. He said probably they'd negotiate it, but they'd probably keep it for about a week and then send it to the Auction House. He said what would you give for it if you were buying it. I said, "$6k" and he told me, "well you never know."

Would he give you a call and say which Auction house when it leaves his place? Someone might want to have a friend bid for them ( assuming it is restricted to Auto Dealers )... might be that place out on Howard Lane....

Yeah, I talked to David. And I would like to get it, but I should really stick to what I decided I want to pay. I mean, I could go up in price all day, that's not hard. There is allways a nicer, more expensive car one can buy. It would be such a shame to see that car go to auction. uhg . Maybe we can convince somebody else to buy it. You know there are people on the forum looking, and others who are always looking for another one. Where are they, why don't they pipe up? Somebody else take the torture away from me

Well man I wish someone from here would go over and get it. I bet if a guy walked in there with $6k cash, you'd drive off in it. I think after a week that could be reality. I'm going to follow it and see if i can lock down what they're going to do. Knowing if they're going to send it to the Auction house some of those "salesman" probably will have someone bid on it for them and get it at a deal.

Now there is some beautiful logic. Advertise the car at $8K for one week. Then when it does not sell, figure it's a dog and send it to the wholesale auction where they will get $4K if they are very lucky.

Like I always said:

It doesn't take a genius to push metal for a living.
