Don't bid on this unless.....

...you verify what it is.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7949919878&category=33733&sspagename=WDVW

If you look at it closely, it is NOT a 4 speed from a 240D. The starter is on the wrong side and the case rear is too long (has the reverse idler there like the 5-speed tranny's.)

I think it's a 5 speed from a later 190E.

But....., , the shifters are on the wrong side too, so it could be that the pics are mirror image, in which case it would be a 5-speed for a 123!!!

Anyone who can verify this locally should go check it out. If it's a 5 speed and you get it for a song, I demand a finders-fee!

Don't have a clue what it goes in but the rear mount is not appropriate for a W123 either.
