Could anyone direct me to the pre-glow fuse on my 86 300SDL? Seems something died last night and I can not find the darn thing.

Ok, I don't know exactly where it is on that car, but can tell you how to find it. Follow the glow plug wires from the plugs back to the relay. It's a plastic box that should be somewhere on the driver's side inner fender. Pop the plastic cover off the box and there is a metal strip inside held down by two Philips head screws. That strip is the fuse. Be careful with the screws, as one of them is "hot" all the time.
