B2 success story....in the making, need some help
Working on my Brother's 1982 300D (mine is better!) pulled the tranny and found the B2 busted. My question is I ordered the B2 and the new type of bushing, but what about the seal??? I found the part number on the DIY, but I couldn't find the part on fastline, and I'd also like to replace the big o ring in there too. I can't find these parts. Also, I am having a hard time pulling out the seal so I can take the old bushing out, I already hurt the seal, so its no good anyway. I can tell that the bushing is lose behind the seal. But I'm still having a hard time getting the seal out of there. I need some help Thanks

I used a butter knife and a hammer to get in between the seal & bushing...it gets it spaced away enough to get a small tipped screwdriver in there...
hope this helps.. now if i can figure out why mine leaks in 1st gear only

I made a little tool with a washer filed to a double-D shape. Put it on a carriage bolt and slipped it through the bushing, then pulled both out together.

I had to do the exact same thing as PeteBurton did. Mine was in so tight I broke 2 bolts and folded a couple of washers before it finally popped out. Some lucky guys have had thiers just fall out.... I had to go to the dealer to get the new seal. Once I explained exactly what I needed to someone at the parts counter who was over 21 years old, the guy walked back and grabbed it for me. 8 dollars I think. The large skinny o-ring is available from fastlane.

Update
Got the bushing and seal out!!! I took Pete Burton's advice and made a small puller here is what I did.
Took "2" 1/4 fender washers, used the bench grinder and ground down two flat sides on each (like a double "D", it almost looks like this "0") Then drilled a 3/8 whole in each washer. Then I used a 1/4 carage bolt, slid the two washers on the bolt, and fidded them onto the back of the bushing in the tranny, this was pretty easy. Then I used a flat peice of iron with a hole in the middle and a 1/4 washer and nut and pulled the assy. out. Of course the flat iron rests on the outside of the tranny. Its pretty simple and worked rather fast. It took me about 15 mins to make the puller and pull out the bushing and the seal. I used two washers for strength, you might be able to get by with just one. The good part about the 1/4 fender washers is they fit just right into the back of the bushing, and no damage can happen to the tranny case. Hope this helps someone!
