I am pretty sure the IP kill joy is at 4,800rpm. So how did you get yours to spin that high? Maybe your tach is off? Maybe something else...

95 mph or so in my SD (speedo also leaves off at 85 but I pegged it well past that ), 104mph in the other sd (has a 160mph speedo).......I want an SDL now (in addition to mine though )

I have had my 300SD to just over 100 once before I backed down.........

I am in too much fear of Jail and losing my drivers license to find out for certain what both will do..............as much as I would love to find out.

1984 300D 348,000 miles 105 mph
1993 300D 2.5 L 206, 000 115 mph

Wanting to go faster yet staring at the tach with a diesel is like a brake in my mind saying "What are you doing twisting a diesel over 4500 rpm's, are you crazy slow down"

Don't try this at home! I'm young and dumb, or at least that's my reasoning.

VIDEO of my 300TD, top speed I could reach on the road I had. I don't have a working speedo so I'm only guessing at speed (Even if it did work I could only see 85mph, thanks USGOV.)

That video is just downright scary!

The video I made was with a leaky interooler hose.. now that I have full boost, it's even faster.. going to have to make another!

Alright. Don't you have 15" wheels? If you do, I am assuming 205/65/15 rubber(I saw a picture of your car on the dyno).

I am assuming 2% slip since that is what the later 722.3 transmissions get anyway(and I don't know much about earlier versions).

Top speed would be approximately 112 mph @ 4600 rpm.

If you had 14" wheels with 195/65/14 tires, then top speed would be 106 mph. This is assuming the tachometer is 100% accurate. They usually are, however.

115mph on my '83 300D Turbo along I-15

Speedo was off (optimistic) by 10mph so it was registering 125mph

Everything stock, 150k miles then
