123 transmission question

Thanks to all that responded to my glow plug issue, I pulled the relay cleaned the connectors and its working great.

My next question is about the transmission.

About a week ago my transmission started shifting hard at low speeds before it warmed up. Once the car warms up, the transmission shifts great (1980 300CD with a brand new trans in 2001.

I had the tranny serviced, but its still not shifting right. I am starting to think its the vacuum system from reading other threads, but it seems strange that its only a problem before the car warms up. Can anyone give me some suggestions of what to look for?

Thx,

ROb

I'm going on second hand info here, but I heard there a temperature sensor on the tranny that adjusts the shifts as the tranny heats up, somebody else might have more detailed info...

its news to me.............

I would guess it is an under the hood vacume connection causeing this.......motor warms up and the vacume seals up..........I would check for vacume lines that are loose fitting....there should be no loose fitting vacume lines anywhere.

How long does it take for the transmission to start shifting normally, following engine start?
