I'm searching for a new car since the old one is a gonner. The mechanic has a client with a 81 or 82 300SD. 200.000 miles. Good compression. Any comments on this car greatly appreciated. Also, what would be a good price.

Hey there, too bad about the goner, on the SD thing could be a wide range of price, interior condition, rust, suspension work needed, that sort of thing. I've gotten a couple in the $1000 to $1600 range that were great, one at $1400 that sucked ( found out it had been crashed after I got it home and cleaned it up), so there seem to be plenty out there if the guy wants too much.
