Trunk Bike Rack For W123....

Hey.... I was wondering if anybody knows where I might be able to obtain a 2 bicycle rack that mounts the rear of the trunk ?

I have tried searching ebay and came up with nothing. I did learn that they make a MERCEDES BICYCLE though

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

To haul bikes, I use my receiver hitch (they make them for the 123 sedan too...about $200) with one of those cool, plug-in racks that utilize the receiver hitch. Noting touches the paint work.

I don't have a hitch though. I am looking for the one that screws into your license plate bolts and has Velcro that goes around the trunk lid.

Kamil,

I use a Yakima roof mounted rack on my 123. But I'm 6ft tall and can easily reach and load my old school Univega mountain bike or my '79 (steel is real) road bike. I have also used the same rack to haul 4' x 8' sheets of plywood home from the big orange box.

yes

Just go to the bike store. The major brands have something that will work.
I have 2 racks that fit my car with straps etc.

too tired to go down and look at make etc.

if still interested I will do later.

Yeah the bike shops have ones with foam pads on a frame with straps that secure to the lid, I'm going to get one very soon so I can put the o'l bike on my car too. I'm going to try to bike 2000 miles this season. Only managed 964 miles last season because I got too busy....ah well.

I have a "hollywood" rack that clips on the trunk/bumper. $10 on Craigslist, works great.

Saris Bones --They have these on EBAY all over and people seem to be bidding on these things like crazy. They sell for around 80 bucks on ebay.
