Where does this go?

I ordered a Diesel shut off valve for my 1983 300SD and the parts came in, a shut of valve, 2 gaskets and another valve that has 3 vacuum ports and a click switch at one end.

I installed the shut off valve and gaskets (it was a pain). The engine shut down perfect now. Where I am confused is the other valve, I don't have a clue where it goes or even where it is located.

The part number on the bag is 11611844 (22) and 002-997-53-36 also GD40M

Anybody know what this does and where it goes?
