According to the dictionary a bonehead is a stupid unintelligent person. On this site Boneheaddoctor or BHD is a real person, very opinionated politically, and a very knowledgeable do-it-yourselfer. He quit posting about 2 days before you joined which has some of us wondering where this human posting machine is. Go read his old posts and get to know him for when he returns.

I recall reading he was banned by a moterator going my the handle "Doctor" or "The Doctor". Seems he pissed him off. So when our good friend made his reappearance he did so under the handle "Boneheaddoctor". That is what I believe a Boneheaddoctor to be.

I wonder . . . did he get banned again?

When someone is banned, usually I recall seeing "banned" under his/her user title.

He isn't banned. He just hasn't posted since the 6th. Darn, it's become eerily silent, lately.

Maybe he's saving up for a huge onslaught.

Cheers,

Bill

I am not one to usually stand up and whine but...

...if I came back to this forum after some absence and was greeted with people badmouthing me in the meantime... Joking around is one thing (like Bill's post) but it seems like there is a line to be crossed at some point...

Sure you may have qualms with someone, or even dislike them...but that doesn't mean you have to post how much you dislike them in their absence...espically if something may have happened to boneheaddoctor...

A few people in one of my classes used to make fun of a professor I had daily. They would basically make class impossible for him and talk TERRIBLY behind his back (not accusing anyone...just an example). One day we came into class to find that he had died due to a heart attack while working in his garden. Lesson learned for those individuals I guess....

I can understand a distaste due to heated arguments over on open discussion but as many have said before, he is still a human being and an automotively intelligent one at that....

At the very least it seems appropriate to not post against his safe and HEALTHY return...

Just my thoughts...

Apologies to anyone I have offended...

On the other hand.......

While I am no fan of BHD's choice of avatar, I still feel he has knowledge that is worth sharing, plus the fact that he's always good for a few laughs.

Besides which, I've seen worse in pop-up ads before (in the days before XP SP2!) so that little pic doesn't bother me too much as I can scroll right by it.

just my $.02

You don't have to apologize to anyone. If someone is offended by you expressing genuine concern-- pi$$ on them.
