Are these the dumb-ass 'gellatin' mounts on later models you're talkin about.... the ones hyper-designed with bladders of fluid? Truth is many MB engineers should be lined up against a wall and shot!!

Mercedes Benz builds the finest and best ballanced engine/chassis/drivetrain that provides the best handling with highest standard of durability. Everything else is irrelevant. Unfortunately lots of 'chefs' dip into the soup and start adding worthless gadgets and crap that nobody wants or needs...... hence evolution of the Sucker class MB, whereas economy models are always better cars.

Y'all can call me a hillbilly if you want - but i've racked up 70k miles on $500 ebay 240D that was bought 3 yrs ago at New Jersey. Meanwhile when something needless wears out like the junk i've listed, it ends up in the bushes with the car running same as before - excellent!

What are you kidding? MB's are supposed to be very smooth and powerfull. If you want a rattle trap where the engine shakes the whole car a Camero or Mustang would work just fine. MB's are built better and to a higher standard Ie they are smooth powerfull cars. Their is a reason an S500 cost $80k and a Crown Vic costs $20k. They are both large V8 powered rwd sedans but come on.

Difference of opinon I guess.
