10 cent per gallon increase in 4 hours???

After the morning news cast spillage about the hurricane Katrina's wrath on the Gulf coast and the loss of several oil rigs, THE STINKING GAS STATIONS RAISED THE DIESEL BY 10 CENTS PER GALLON!

Now I may not be the smartest person here, but common sense tells me the fuel in the tanks under the pumps were bought for less than that.

How much longer are we drivers going to take the wholesale robbery of our wallets.

How much does fuel have to get before we say enough is enough?

Chime in with your thoughts.

Yep.

I'm simply gonna drive less. Walking might improve my health, or not.

Walking isnt really that healthy when you think about it, especially in big cities, you're just sucking down all that gasoline and diesel exhaust, probably worse than smoking a buncha cigarettes.

What amazes me is seeing the Ford Explorers and Expeditions and big Lexus and Lincolns gunning the gas as soon as the light goes green and using the big breaks 150 feet later at the next intersection. So dumb.

I see this myself. Apparently you need to have a minimum of intelligence to purchase such a vehicle and, therefore, it's not possible to educate such a person in the basics of fuel conservation.

Additionally, my favorite idiom applies: The average person is a moron.

I believe in a few years you will see big SUV's disappear, just like station wagons did decades ago.

Talking THe Beauty of it..

is that now that I have a 300D and I'm running on 80% WVO I am for the first time so glad to see gas prices rising I actually want them to go alot higher....Fact is none of these guzzlers that are on the road should ever have been built...The sooner they're gone , the better.....
80% of the cars here in so FL. are oversized and have a 5'2" soccermom or her 5'3" husband in it.....(-:

What a brilliant idea. Of course nothing else will be impacted if you get your wish. Of course, no other prices will go up. Only the guzzlers will disappear. Gas prices go up, what do you think will happen to the economy? If I cancel that vacation, and stay home because of the prices of gas, guess who else is affected? Multiply that effect by millions and the tourist industry goes down. Are you that immune to the economy? Yes, you are running your WVO. Good for you. You live off the land too? If you lose your job because of downsizing when the economy happens, I'll buy you a beer so you can toast the prices going higher and you get what you wanted. When they dropped the atomic bomb in Japan, only the soldiers died, right? I suppose, stupid is as stupid wishes.

Good news...I just saved a ton of money by switching to a mule

Good news, just bought me a hay eating mule. He eats the grass in the yard..now no mowing. I use his crap to fertilize my tomato plants...I'm trying to teach him to talk..like MR Ed and if success comes..I'll be rich..if not I'll shoot his ass as soon as this fuel crunch is over and sell his dead ass to the Alpo company....

That is cool, but I am not ready to give up some safety while cars are on the road. One smack from a Austin Healy and your a dead man.
