Recent Adsit purchase experience

I've seen a few less than positive comments here regarding Adsit (or Adsitco), but couldn't pass up the $49 price for Bilstein HD shocks. I was a bit suspicous of their website disclaimers, but I have a good relationship with my credit card company and figured I could always charge them back if there was a problem.

I called to confirm that, yes the price really was $49 if ordered on the website, and, yes the shocks did come with mounting hardware, and yes they were brand new.

I ordered them on Wednesday afternoon and got them on Friday. Shipping was $17. They really are new Bilteins with hardware and they work great. I'm a little uneasy about their policies, but they sold me quality shocks at a super price.

I have made four separate purchases from Adsit of products that I had found difficult to find anywhere else. I am less than one hour's drive from them and once picked up a couple of larger items. I have never had the need to return anything to them and I believe that is the area of complaint that I have seen most often. Thus, I can make no statements concerning that, but I have had no problems with their service in any other respect.
They have been helpful and courteous on the phone when I have called with any questions and their deliveries have been prompt. One delivery I had to have made to a third party and it was C.O.D., and that delivery cost was a tad higher than I expected, but C.O.D.'s usually are. The items I have purchased from them have been of good quality and have given excellent service.

Some resellers sell Bilsteins without the lifetime warranty which allows them to sell cheaper. Check and see if yours are covered by Bilstein and not by Adsitco.

Adsit sells a radiator for my car for $195 + $20s/h but only has a 30 day warranty and its a nissens. I found the same radiator for $233 with s&h included with a one year radiator and found a BEHR radiator for $322 with a LIFETIME warranty and even a lifetime Warranty for labor as well. Considering the warranties, the Adsit doesn't seem such a great value, does it? BTW my car is a 1995 E300D. For what Adsit was offering their price shouldn't have been more than $150 inc. shipping

Adsit was able to supply parts that I had trouble finding anywhere and they offered them at a reasonable price. They may not be as reasonable on every part. I do not buy all my parts from them or from any other one vendor. I am only stating that I had four good experiences (and no bad ones) purchasing from them. Because one finds that, in their opinion, that they were too high on one product should not preclude checking their prices and products in the future. I am neither recommending them or condemning them. They are simply another source to check for me.

Low price (and a warranty for that matter) means nothing if you consider your time to R&R plus the shipping costs to return something if there's a problem.
I bought a Nissens once. It started leaking a few months after installation, from the top tank seal. Since then I've always specified Behr radiators and never worried about the higher price, to me I think of protecting an engine and what that is worth.
I used Adsit recently no problem, I think their past is haunting them. I gave them an Email about something recently and they asked me to call the fellow. I did and he said he is trying to improve the website.
