blower fan

blondie must need brushes as she pops a fuse after a few minutes of use.

does anyone know if the blower from a 300d will fit the 240?

It should be the same. You can replace the brushs if thats the problem. I've used appliance brushs from Ace Heardware, they wont last as long as the OEM ones but...

Stevo, have you got the Ace Part # for those brushes by chance?
I am facing the same issue and was going to try and swing by and pick up set for my 79 300D this week.

after many trips to the yards here I've found not all w123 blowers are the same. Very close, yes but not identical. There is a chance a 240d blower will not fit into your 300d, but it's more dependant on year and origin (country of delivery) than model.

What you have to do is just root around in the various sized brushes and find a pair thats close and carve em down to fit. There is a guy, George something, that sells them, I'm sure theres info about him if you do a search. I know the Euro blowers are different but I didnt know there was any difference in the US 123 cars.

I'd like to see the pics if you do. Mine's chirping and lubing it up didn't last longer than a day. I'm hoping I just need to replace the brushes.

i bought the brush kit and manual from **************. now since the kid has not , um, how should i say this, not felt the need for heat or set aside the time to get the work done, he is on his own until spring.
