help with trim

I am getting my 1985 300d ready for the paint shop, and have a couple of questions regarding trim removal.

#1 - how do I remove the black plastic grating from under the windshield wiper?

#2 - how do I remove the aluminum trim that runs ABOVE the doors and down to the front fender

#3 - when removing the rubber trim below the doors, does it just 'pop' off? I pryed a small piece off, but the long pieces seem to require significant force. Is that correct.

any help would be appreciated.

I only know my SD, but if it's like that, then #1- remove wipers and rubber at bottom of windshield #2- very small screws you can see when you open up the doors #3- sort of, but there is a threaded stud that passes through a hole in the door. You have to remove the door panel to undo the plastic hex nut and you need a 7mm open end to do it.

#1 push in the center with a punch or awl or nail the center of each small black square, The center of each square will depress and release the grille.

#3 There are 3 or four metal clips that grip: the door, the black rubber wiper against the glass, and the chrome/rubber trim piece. First tremove the trim piece then the rubber wiper...

Is this in reference to the thick black rubber strip that runs along the BOTTOM of the door? That's the piece I'm trying to remove

ulp...sorry....I was talking about the rubber strip along the bottom of the window. I would remove the door panel and look inside to verify but I think the strip along the bottom of the door just has some fitting that you press on & pull off

The black strips at the bottom of the window are held in by metal clips that just grip the door frame (on my 83 240). There are probably 4 of them. If you work a flat screwdriver under the edge, starting at one end, you can work it off a bit at a time. They do hold pretty good!

The one piece of trim I can't figure out how to remove is the piece on the back pillar where the rear quarter panel and roof meet. How do you remove that one?
