Wheel noise
I have a grinding noise on passenger wheel area when I drive it is more pronounced at low speed and gets higher pitched when I speed up it also is worse when I break. The wheel only does this when it has the weight of the car on it. I have replaced front caliper, turned rotor and replaced pads and greased bearings checked for rubbing on dust shield still does it.I have just about come to the conclusion that it is the wheel bearings. I just wanted to get some input from some other person. One other question? when you break does it put more of a load on the wheel bearings. Thanks

Bad wheel bearings will certainly make more noise when under load. The most common tell-tale is if you hear more noise when cornering in one direction or another. If you have turned the Rotor and re-greased the bearings you would have to remove the hub assembly and worn bearings should be easily detectable if they are making that much noise. If there is any 'notchiness' when rotating the brake disc then that is a good indicator of bad bearings.

The play is fine, I sure thought it was a stuck piston on the caliper because the inboard pad was worn twice as much as the outboard pad and when I pushed the breaks that piston did not move replaced caliper and still have the noise.
