Haven't done it...but assuming your locksets have never been changed they should work fine......

Just had a valet key cut for my 87 300SDL from VIN numbers, works great and cost less than $30.

Like Bonehead said, assuming your locks haven't been changed a VIN cut key will work perfectly. MB corporate requires proof of ownership of the car, so be prepared with photo ID and matching title or registration.

I second that motion. I had to buy a VIN cut key from the stealership. It works great.

i had a nightmare trying to get a key blank. working with a trcing and the vin the dealer still got the wrong key blank delivered then after another 10 days stated emphatically that it was the correct blank. i have since gone to a local key cutter and had 5 copies made.

aside,
looking under the drivers side mat i found the original keys. i wire brushed them and they work fine. i went to the key maker but she didn't have blanks
anyione need valet coipies? the minimum order is 10 keys and i don't need than many but at 4 bucks a key maybe i can mail them to folks who want a copy.

anyone interested?

Provided you have the orignal locks a dealer cut key will work perfectly.

If your locks are not orignal you are sol and have bigger problems!
