Eastern Pennsylvania has a wide range of diesel prices. In Bethlehem PA the cheapest is $1.499, but I could pay as much as $1.899 for Mobil.

If I drive 20 miles, there is a $1.419 Hess that does great volume and has nice fresh frothy fuel.

During winter prices jump, probably due to demand for home heating oil.

Normally here diesel is somewhere between unleaded plus and unleaded premium gasoline. Unleaded is about $1.40 a gallon, with premium around $1.55-$1.65.

This morning the diesel fuel price was $1.279 in St. Louis, a drop of 2 cents in a week. Interestingly, no lead went up about a dime to 1.379.

This is the first time in a while that diesel is cheaper than no lead.

Walnutport PA Mobil Diesel 2.099, diesel at a Gulf station in Walnutport PA 2.099 also. Still not cheap, but it would get my SD to well below the 10 cents a mile range. (My 84 SD gets about 21-22 mpg in mixed driving, 25 highway.)
This is about 10 cents cheaper than stations 10 miles to the east and south; most other stations around here are still 2.199 to 2.299 maybe.
Premium unleaded ranges from 1.959 to 2.099.
87 octane is 1.799 to 1.859 or so.

Did you ever notice that when you see cheap diesel fuel you are riding in or driving a gas powered car, and vice versa?

Yup, our gas is up a couple cents a gallon at some places.
Strange, cuz they all didn't go up in price, just some stations.
Saw 2.319 for Citgo diesel today; no I don't think this is cheap.
