I get 24-26 in daily city/highway driving.(have hit 30mpg on highway trips twice with the W123)...but I have not yet actually done a stopwatch 0-60 run yet on either machine so no idea what they actually do.

0-60 : quick enough to keep up in LA traffic. As to actual time? I have no idea, I've never measured it.

MPG : 27 on the last trip down south. Slightly less in city driving ~25.

0-60 without powerbrake is 13.4. 0-60 with powerbrake is 12.3. Mpg city is 23-25; freeway 55mph=34, 60mph=33, 65mph=31, 70mph=29, 75mph=27, 80mph=27, 85mph=26. It seems like from 75mph and up there is less of a drop-off in mpg. 1983 300sd

Just too proud of the SD:

31.1 mpg on the most recent fillup.

394 miles (certified)..........12.667 gallons right to the cap.

The number is better than the SDL has ever achieved. Doubt I can maintain it........but.......still quite amazing.

I've done just over 31mpg before in the SD more than once too.

I have run only 3 tanks through so far on my 82 300D. My speedo may be slightly off; I have 205/70R14 tires. More or less city driving (12 mile suburb commute to work, then a few 40 mile all highway stints to visit friends.) I have gotten 24, 25, and 23. I am driving from Michigan to Maryland tommorow, so I am excited to see what I get.

From my fillup in Dupont (south of Tacoma) to Troutdale, OR last weekend, I got 36mpg in my 300D, all freeway driving at 65-75mph. Highest I've ever gotten on my 300D. Got 33 on the way back. I had some fun, but lost a little mileage driving on Hwy 14 through the Gorge Let's just say I gave the cars behind me the soot treatment a few times

My 92 300D 2.5 Turbo is about 14 sec 0-60 and best mpg ever was 36 driving to Chicago
The 560 SEC gets about 20mpg on the highway (at 70 with the cruise on) and I can't count the 0-60 yet as I'm too excited when that car is floored--such a rush!
The Alfa gets about 18 the wife said the other day--wtf? used to get mid 20's.

My 1980 300D non-turbo used to get 24mpg no matter what--0-60 was dangerously slow. That car needed a fuel filter I think and it would have been perfect but I traded it too soon. My 87 SDL got mid-20's and about 14sec on the 0-60.

My Town Car got about 22mpg before the chip and about 16 afterwards, don't recall the 0-60. Yes, I chipped my Town Car, gained about 20 horse above stock.

-m

Edit: Just checked my 0-60 in the 560 SEC about 9 sec... stupid 2nd gear start!

0-60, 10.63 spot on, two runs with a G-Tech pro. Fuel mileage last year a steady 23.5mpg mostly around town. Have not burned through a tank yet to see if my improved timing has changed that figure.
