ALDA on non-turbo diesel
Guys;
I posted a message about the poor acceleration on my '96 E300D. In looking at other posts for similar problems I see reference to the ALDA but all the posts I have seen were for turbocharged engines. My car is not a turbo. Does it have and ALDA? Could that be the cause of acceleration lag? |

theres only an ALDA on turbos, it regulates the amount of fuel according to the boost pressure. im surprised to hear that sucha new diesel doesnt have a turbo.

Still puts out more power than the older turbodiesels, but the '96 (and '97, IIRC) OM606 is NA.
There may be something similar to an ALDA, but it would be for altitude compensation. I'd look at the flaps in the intake first. |
