It makes me wonder what I could sell mine for. The latest round of electrical problems has me spooked a little, and I have been threatening to buy a Miata for several years now.

This one looks very nice, it has KLIMA I with the Evil Servo From HELL so expect to drop $1,000 ~ $1,500 to get the HVAC going once you do that it'll freeze you out of the car easily in 125 degree outside heat .

1980 mercedes diesel manual 4 Speed with 95,000 original miles - $8,500 "...it is super rare with a 4-speed transmission thank you for reading." Not sure I'd go with "super rare" but I'm not sure what the breakdown in numbers is. Clean looking car. He might get that amount or close to it.

That Evil Servo
Yes, I found and salvaged the aftermarket system from a junker then caught the bug to make the Klima I in my 1979 300CD work and did so, I wonder what ever happened to the retrofit setup ~ I even downloaded the installation instructions and printed them out ~ they said to begin everything but the Evil Servo From Hell had to be *perfect* before replacing, i started there and just kept on going...
Dang it worked great when in proper nick . That 240D loos a bit scruffy, I'd want to look very closely at it before taking the plunge . It wasn't super rare at one time but most of the stick shift 240D's I saw in So. Cal. long ago, were owned by stupid kids who over speeded the engine on every up shift , trashing them . They still show up in the local junkyards a few times a year, they get the entire manual gear box, pedals and fly wheel yanked out quickly . Apparently you can convert an OM617 powered car easily using the (incorrect) OM616 flywheel . If not rusty this would prolly be a fun car, I can't see over $5K though .

I'm getting too old to consider a manual tranny swap, I've been told it's pretty straightforward though .
The jag was what we'd call in the trade "bagged" ~ it wasn't rusted nor dented just raggedy in every way ~ it had a nasty white paint job with plenty of over spray , so on and so forth . Being a General Motors Corp. i6 engine it would have been dead easy to make run very well and a joy to drive but ......... Like old Mercedes Diesels, some really love inline 6 cylinder powered vehicles, I am one of those persons .

I'd love to have an XKE with a 3l diesel in it. Learned to drive on a ' XK150 then bought an E type.
meanwhile theres a '62 Benz on CL stick shift 4cyl Classic body and I don't see any visible rust. I'd be interested in driving a 4 speed 240D but from everything I've read I don't think I want to own one. At least not until I get that estate with garaging for 12 to 15 cars. I'm not going to fake being a buyer so I can sample one so unless I run into or make a good friend who owns one, might be frustrated on that one. Frustrated probably too strong a word.

I've never owned or even driven/rode in a 116 but this is a nice looking car. My first Mercedes was a slightly newer '81 300SD, I liked it.
1979 Mercedes 300SD Diesel (Only-95K-Orig) Exc-Condition - $12,500 I have to wonder about the seller though, he says it just passed smog. That and the other gushing hyperbole.

I am crazy, BTW, this is the one I really want:
 Jaguar 1966 3.8S sedan - $25,950 (mill valley) You sort of hope these are put together better than the Jags that followed but who knows. They say 82K on the odo. Would like it more with a manual. People are funny. I would have moved that ladder before I took the photo. Or moved it and taken it again after I saw the first one. Who needs a ladder haphazardly stored next to a cherry looking quasi-classic? Mill Valley actually is a really sweet little town - up in Marin.

Vintage Jaguar
That really does look nice .
A few years back I stumbled across one (Jag. MkII) that had a Chevrolet 250CID i6 engine and TH350 slushbox, it was pretty rough, the interior was trashed, I could have bought it cheaply but passed . A 240D stick isn't slow but it's not fast either . My '82 240D is in tip top shape and tune and I like it but merging into fast moving freeway/highway traffic @ 45 ~ 50 MPH can be jarring .
