Exclamation WOW Fastlane sure does ship parts fast!

I ordered a dozen or so electrical parts, and a shock, yesterday, and TODAY the parts arrived! amazing.
Bosch GP's are sure amazing! MUCH better quality than the local Champion plugs.
Now I gotta figure out where the flasher/turnsignal relay goes...
anybody got an idea where in the fuse box? 82 300SD thanks,
John

'they work for you'

Phil does an excellent job. I am already on order #3 and I haven't even put 100 miles on my 190d! ha.

The relay is located behind the instrument cluster on the SD. Once you remove the cluster, it may be behind a bundle of lines, and kind of tricky to get to.

I was really hoping the relay was behind the shifter like everyone on the search said... are you sure it's behind the instrument cluster?

vstech,

I didn't get my parts fast from Fastlane, it took a week. But that was all FedEx time since the parts were shipped from CA to PA. Didn't matter, though, nothing I needed in a hurry.

I got parts from EAS in less than 24 hours already but they were shipped form NJ to PA by UPS.

The '82 Electrical Troubleshooting Manual says that the flasher is "in center console forward of shift lever." But it shows a picture of the "turn/hazard flasher" behind the instrument cluster.

My first order was delivered next day, NJ to MD. However my 2nd order had some special ordered stuff and was shipped from California. FedEx online showed delivery within a week....However due to a lazy FedEx driver and very unhelpful people from FedEX phone help desk, it took 2 extra days plus a weekend I could have used to install the parts. I emailed Phil about it, not complaining, but to give him a heads up about crappy FedEx service. He did take the time to reply to me though. THANKS PHIL!! I know from now on I'll only use UPS.

I think it usually takes 3 days to get parts to CA. Sucks, sometimes I use a place located near here just to get the parts faster.
