You know what it looks like is this guy is buying these cars wrecked and doing the work himself. On the 87 it looks like the whole car is sitting lopsided....I detect a major sag on the left side in that picture of the rear.

Okay, so the first car in this thread, the 85 wagon, is a former Texas Car, I just ran a VIN search. THe PO bought it for 375 dollars. I imagine this guy bought it for next to nothing and started fixing it.

Wow. This was one of the auctions i was watching recently.... I noticed it didn't sell, and emailed him asking if he was relisting, or what he was expecting to sell for. No response. Later, he relisted, and I asked him a few questions about a third seat, some things looking sketchy, etc... he replied with a very rude "No, I included pictures of that, if you'd let it load you'd see..." and saying that there's "minor" scratching on the windshield.

I am so glad i found this thread. I am so sorry for whomever ends up with this vehicle... and is out $10,000.

So, do you think he is bidding against himself or what? Here it is again! This guy sucks because guys like him make values higher than they really should be. If you look at the difference in selling prices for gas vs. diesel W124 wagons, you could never justify the fuel savings with the diesel vs. the premium they are bringing over gas models.

Look, he has changed user ID's again! What a scumbag! Thank you eBay for allowing slime like this to flourish.

We need to collect a list of all his shill-bid auctions and relistings under the various monikers and forward those on to eBay's Fraud Alert reps. The previous '87 & '85 auctions were perfect examples.

What's interesting is that his new moniker(

deutschemotoren Oct-04-05) has no ID History whereas his previous did.

At the bottom of every auction page is a tab "what else can you do"
click "report this item", fill out the reasons then hit contact- and it will turn the item in.

Always report when you think something is not as described or shill bidding. Ebay does remove these items when reported (usually).

OK everyone, I DID IT!!

I have been watching this guy's ads for a while. He has THREE different named accounts. All are Private and all of his auctions are private. It is absolutely amazing how his bids for his cars just magically keep going up and up and up. Here are his names:
Deutschemotoren
Deutschefahrzeug
Deutscheserzeugnis

These are German words for:
Germanmotors
German driving things
German things

He keeps changing his name when it does not sell twice under one name. His cars have been cleaned and repainted but as we all know, digital cameras can hide a lot when you take pictures and post them on E-Bay.

I reported him today to E-Bay. They sent me an E-Mail that they will investigate him.

By the way he has three cars on e-bay now, 560sel,300td (87) and 300td(83)

Lets see what E-Bay does about him.

Its near midenight, lets see how my skills are:
Grill is chipped
Hood doesn't line up on passanger side, looks like pass side latch isn't engaged.
I swear the gap between the wiper panal and front fender looks full of paint on the drivers side, not 100% sure though. Headlights also look just too new. In person inspection is needed.
Rear end sits down, SLS issues?
Drivers seat looks strange, poor recover??
Look at the edge of the trunk, is that a paint edge or dirt?
Carpet is yanked away, someone was messing with the power antenna.
Rear sear is out of position, someone didn't put it back in correctly. Or is that just the rear seat being adjusted a bit high.

Looks like a very original example, if it were close it would probably be worth looking at. Price is way high though its a $5k car on a good day. With 93 octane at $3.50 a gallon 560's are not gaining value thats for sure.
