Somebody mentioned that you may have a kit that would block the EGR... for testing purposes only, of course...

I'd pull the cross over and see if its wet with oil. With oil consumption that high you should find more then the usual tar if your egr is still working.

If its the turbo, not to big of a deal either rebuild it yourself or swap a rebuild on.

If its the bottom end, well there isn't much you can do about that. Either just keep driving it and plan on a rebuild, or trade it in on another car.
